Planimetric map

Planimetric maps serve the function of simple, horizontally organized references usually with some type of scientific measure used to scale the map with the actual location. Streets, buildings, important landmarks, and rivers or other bodies of water can be easily understood on these maps and they are often used to make simple maps for everything from road maps to amusement park maps for tourists. This particular map is used to show the different zoning areas for the Village of Belcher, Louisiana. It is easy to see where the agricultural areas begin and the business sections end from this zoning map.
