This map is a representation of someone's pure perception of a place. Note that this concept removes any of the trimmings and scientific measurement typically given to maps used on a regular basis, thus showing what literally is perceived by the map maker. The mental map shown here is a Thai student's impression of the world based off of the student's own knowledge and perception of the world.
